Machining Job Work — CNC and Conventional

Anand Gears now takes outside job work on its machine shop. CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, boring machines, drilling machines and a range of conventional machines — working from your drawing in millimetres, or from a sample when the drawing is gone.

New Service

Our Machine Shop Is Now Open for Job Work

For three decades the machines here cut parts for our own gearboxes. That capacity is now available to outside customers as machining job work — and not only for gear and gearbox components. If it can be turned, milled, bored, drilled or ground within our machine sizes, we will quote it.

The work suits OEMs and machine builders who need a dependable repeat batch, and plant maintenance teams who need one urgent part made correctly the first time. Send a drawing, a sketch with dimensions in mm, or the worn component itself.

The Machines Your Job Runs On

Everything below sits under one roof at Bhayander East, so a part that needs turning, then milling, then boring does not travel between three vendors and pick up three sets of tolerances on the way.

What We Take on Job Work

CNC milling

CNC milling machines for housings, base plates, covers, flanges, brackets and fixtures. Faces, pockets, bores and hole patterns held in one setup wherever the part allows it.

CNC turning

Three CNC lathes for shafts, spindles, pins, bushes, rollers, adaptors and blanks — stepped diameters, seal lands, grooves, chamfers and threads to your millimetre drawing.

Boring

Large and long bores that a milling machine cannot reach comfortably — fabricated housings, welded boxes and bearing seats.

Drilling and tapping

Drilling, reaming and tapping on both CNC and conventional machines — from a single hole in a repair part to a full mounting pattern on a production batch.

Cylindrical grinding

Ground journals, bearing seats and seal diameters where a turned finish is not close enough — commonly the last operation on a shaft before it goes into an assembly.

Gear cutting and thread milling

Hobbing of spur, helical and worm wheels, plus worm shaft thread milling — the original speciality of this shop. Full detail on the gear cutting job work page.

Conventional machining

A supporting set of conventional machines for the operations that do not justify a CNC setup — small quantities, rework, and secondary and finishing operations on parts already in the shop.

Assembled sub-units

Where it helps you, we go past loose components — a shaft with bearings and seals fitted, or a machined housing delivered with its covers matched and ready to build — discuss scope at RFQ.

How It Works

From Your Drawing to a Finished Part

1

Send the job

PDF, DXF or a hand sketch with dimensions in millimetres. No drawing? Send photos of the worn part — or the part itself — and we will measure it here.

2

We confirm and offer

We check the part against our machine sizes, raise anything unclear in the drawing, and send a budgetary offer with a realistic delivery date.

3

Material

We procure to your specification, or machine free-issue material and castings that you send in. Tell us which you prefer when you enquire.

4

Machine, check, dispatch

Parts are checked against the drawing before they leave. Once a job is proven, the same setup runs your repeat batches without proving it again from scratch.

Quantities: a single maintenance spare is as welcome as a production batch. Plant engineers with one broken shaft and OEMs with a monthly schedule are both regular customers here.

FAQ

Machining Job Work — Common Questions

What machining job work does Anand Gears take?

CNC milling machines, CNC turning on CNC lathes, boring, drilling, cylindrical grinding, gear hobbing, worm thread milling, and a range of conventional machines for secondary operations. The work is not limited to gearbox parts.

Do I need a drawing, or can you work from a sample?

Either. A PDF, DXF or hand sketch with dimensions in millimetres is enough to start. If the drawing is lost, send the worn part and we reverse-engineer it before machining.

Do you take single pieces or only production batches?

Both. One-off maintenance spares and prototypes are accepted alongside repeat production batches for OEMs and machine builders.

Do you supply the material or should we send it?

Both arrangements work. We can procure material against your specification, or machine free-issue material and castings that you send in. Say which you prefer in the enquiry.

Where is the shop and who can send work?

Dwarkanath Estate, Bhayander East, Thane 401105, Maharashtra — convenient for Mumbai, Thane, Vasai and Palghar. Work is also taken from OEMs and plants elsewhere in India by transport.
