Heavy-duty helical and bevel gearboxes for cane crushing, juice extraction, and centrifugal processing. Engineered for continuous 120-day crushing seasons with power ratings 15–75 kW, advanced thermal management, and high-torque transmission for India's sugar industry.
Sugar Processing
Anand Gears manufactures industrial-grade gearboxes specifically engineered for sugar mill applications where reliability during the critical 120-day crushing season is non-negotiable. India produces 30 million tonnes of sugar annually (world's #2 producer), and every gearbox failure during harvest translates to lost capacity and revenue. Our helical and bevel gearboxes deliver sustained high-torque transmission, thermal stability under continuous operation, and rapid reversibility for jam clearing. Crushers, juice extractors, and centrifugal machines operate 24/7 during the season, subjecting gearboxes to sustained thermal stress, high vibration, and shock loads from fiber bundles. Anand designs feature oversized oil sumps, thermostatic cooling systems, precision bearings, and robust gear materials engineered for extended service life even under the harshest milling environments. Power ratings from 15 kW to 75 kW accommodate small cooperative mills through to large industrial operations. Complete package includes motor sizing, coupling selection, and commissioning support.

Processing Equipment
Comprehensive power transmission solutions for the complete sugar production process.
3-roller and 4-roller crushers extract 50–65% of cane juice. Helical gearbox (6:1–10:1) delivers sustained crushing force 120 days continuously. Variable crushing force based on cane moisture, fiber content. Reversible operation for jam clearing.
Secondary extraction from bagasse maximizes juice recovery. Bevel gearbox (7:1–9:1) handles diffuser or rasper extraction at lower speeds. Thermal management critical due to hot bagasse temperature (50–70°C).
Sugar crystal separation from molasses via high-speed centrifugation (500–1200 RPM). Worm and helical gearboxes with precision bearings minimize vibration, extend bearing life. Variable-frequency drives optimize speed for different molasses viscosity.
Crystallization equipment where gearboxes drive low-speed stirring/scraping mechanisms (20–40 RPM). High-ratio worm gearboxes (20:1–40:1) from 5–15 kW motors ensure gentle, consistent agitation without crystal damage.
Juice purification via lime treatment and filtering. Gentle-torque gearboxes stir lime slurry and drive filter presses. Stainless steel shafts resist corrosive lime-alkali environment. 3–7.5 kW power ratings.
Conveying systems for byproducts. Sealed worm gearboxes protect against molasses stickiness and bagasse dust. Heavy-duty designs withstand 24/7 byproduct processing. Ratios 20:1–40:1 for slow, powerful operation.
Drives & Controls
Crusher and conveyor drives take brutal seasonal duty. We supply the star-delta and DOL starter banks, MCC panels, and VFDs for the same drives our gearboxes power — one vendor for the whole chain.
